The Health and Medical Technical College / Kirkuk organizes a panel discussion entitled (Vibrio cholera)…

Under the patronage of the President of the Northern Technical University, Prof. Dr. Alia Abbas Ali Al-Attar, and under the supervision of the Dean of the Health and Medical Technical College / Kirkuk, Prof. Dr. Muhammad Yawuz Nour El-Din, the Department of Medical Laboratory Technologies organized a panel discussion entitled (Vibrio cholera bacteria). The lecture was given in the episode:

  1. Assistant Professor Dr. Siham Shakur Obaid
  2. Assistant teacher Vian Ibrahim Hussein. and was attended by a group of faculty and technicians.

The episode dealt with an introduction to Vibrio cholera bacteria and the sources of infection

The episode showed the seriousness of cholera, which exposes the patient to sudden severe diarrhea, which leads to the body losing large amounts of water and salts. If these lost quantities are not compensated in time, this may lead to a shock that will end in death.

The seminar aimed to identify the symptoms of cholera, methods of diagnosis, treatment, and methods of prevention. The episode came out with the following recommendations:

  1. Paying attention to the cleanliness of the environment, providing clean drinking water, and preserving foods from pollution plays a major role in limiting the spread of disease.
  2. Vaccination with the anti-cholera serum in the affected areas avoids infection.
