Northern Technical University in the Iraqi National Ranking (IRU)

The Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research announced the results of the Iraqi national classification of public and private universities (IRU). Where our university ranked 17 out of 36 public universities and first place on Nineveh’s public universities

The President of the University congratulated this great achievement for all university employees, which comes within a series of achievements achieved by the university through the hard and diligent work of the Quality Assurance Department at the Presidency of the University with all its staff to achieve the goals of the university.

It is worth noting that the evaluation in the classification included eighty-three governmental and private educational institutions distributed over 36 public universities, 47 private universities and colleges, 875 specialized colleges, and 1,729 scientific departments. The evaluation includes criteria related to the institutional environment and academic programs as follows:

• Institutional performance evaluation criteria, which include quality and institutional accreditation 20%, international classifications 15%, effectiveness of scientific research 20%, community service 5%, resource maximization 10%, faculty members 10%, students 15%, and international diversity 5%.
• Criteria for evaluating the performance of scientific departments, which include quality and program accreditation 35%, the effectiveness of scientific research 30%, faculty members 20%, students 15%
