The visit of the President of the Northern Technical University, Prof. Dr. Alia Abbas Ali Al-Attar, and her accompanying delegation to the United States of America resulted in the launch of the Higher Education Partnerships Program provided by the American IREX organization.
In the presence of the Northern Technical University cybersecurity team, representatives of the American University of West Virginia, and representatives of the American IREX organization, the launch of the Higher Education Partnerships Program was announced.
During the program’s launching ceremony, the university’s progress in the Department of Cybersecurity Technologies, which was introduced this year, was discussed.
They also discussed the mechanism of implementing the program, which includes transferring the teaching experience in terms of subjects from the University of West Virginia to the Northern Technical University, and benefiting from the experience of the aforementioned university, as it is one of the well-known universities in the field of information security. In addition to involving professors from the University of West Virginia, to give lectures to students of the Department of Cybersecurity at the Northern Technical University and to participate in setting exam questions for students of the department. In addition, sending several teachers of the Department of Cybersecurity at the Northern Technical University to the aforementioned university to have direct access to the laboratories and the mechanism for training students on specialized equipment and to get acquainted with the materials and teaching methods, and all belongings that can be used to develop the Department of Cybersecurity Technologies at the Northern Technical University.
