Under the patronage of the President of Northern Technical University, Professor Dr. Alia Ali Abbas Al-Attar, and under the supervision of the Dean of the College, Assistant Professor Dr. Majid Khaleel Najm, the Chemical and Petroleum Industries Technology Engineering Department at the College organized a scientific field visit for the students of the second stage to the Qayyarah Oil Refinery in order to enrich the students’ practical side and provide them with skills and training in the field. The purpose of the visit was to explain how the filtration and production units work, view the furnaces and distillation towers, and also learn about the central control units for the refinery’s management, accompanied by scientific supervisors from the department’s professors, as well as engineer (Qusay Al-Khafaji), responsible for the production division at the refinery.
At the conclusion of the visit, the department’s professors and students extended their thanks and appreciation to the refinery director (Dr. Azzam Saadi al-Jubouri), the staff of the training and development unit at the Gayyarah refinery, and all the officials for the warm reception and their cooperation in providing scientific and engineering information and making the visit success.
