Scientific Visit to the Central Library to Enhance the Culture of Reading and Research.

In line with the directives of Dr. Aliya Abbas Ali Al-Attar, President of the Northern Technical University, emphasizing the need to provide facilities for students and encourage them to engage in reading, and with continuous follow-up from the Central Library Department, the library welcomed on Wednesday, March 5, 2025, students from the Office Management Techniques Department at the Technical Institute of Administration – Nineveh, accompanied by a group of faculty members, for a scientific visit aimed at introducing them to the borrowing mechanism and the services offered by the library, in addition to familiarizing them with its collection of scientific resources.
The delegation was received by Mr. Hossam Abdul Karim Abdullah, the official in charge of the Central Library Department, along with the heads of the library sections. Detailed explanations were provided to the students regarding the nature of library services, the research and borrowing processes, and the significant role the library plays in supporting researchers and graduate students. The students were also given the opportunity to ask questions, which were answered thoroughly, contributing to a comprehensive understanding of the library’s role in serving science and knowledge.
The visit included a valuable initiative from the students and faculty members, who gifted the library a specialized book in the field of management, supporting the “I Will Read; Because I Don’t Want to Stay as I Am” initiative launched by the President of Northern Technical University. This initiative aims to enrich the library with scientific resources and promote the culture of reading among students and faculty members.
At the end of the visit, both faculty members and students expressed their great pleasure at the warm reception and excellent organization, appreciating the significant efforts made by the library management and staff in providing academic and scientific services, as well as their active role in supporting the educational and research journey at Northern Technical University.
