The Northern Technical University, represented by Assistant Professor Dr. Omar Rafea Mahmood, Assistant to the President of the University for Scientific Affairs, participated as an official speaker in the QS Higher Education Classification Summit for the Middle East and Africa for the year 2022, which was held for the period from 1-3 March 2022 in the United Arab Emirates, where the conference dealt with visions and knowledge about Best educational practices in the region and how to create an enabling environment for innovation through measures such as institutional and industry partnerships, teaching development, and research priorities.

Note that Northern Technical University is the only Iraqi university participating in this event.
