Commissioned by the President of the Northern Technical University, Professor Dr. Alia Abbas Ali Al-Attar, the Northern Technical University participated, represented by the Subject Area Board and the Quality Board teams charged with implementing the Bologna Process at the university. It participated in the training workshops held by UNESCO, the Iraq branch, with the support of the European Union, and in the presence of the teams. The other in charge of implementing the Polish track in the seven technical universities in Iraq, which lasted for three days. The workshops included highlighting the latest developments that were implemented within the implementation of the path in various scientific and technical departments in Iraqi technical universities and the extent of Iraqi universities’ readiness for the idea of expanding its application to the rest of the engineering departments and applied sciences in implementation of the directives of the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research for the academic year (2022-2023). . Through the training workshops, a future plan was presented to implement the idea of internationalizing technical education globally through the tasks assigned to the International Working Group, formed by all technical universities. At the conclusion of the workshops, the representative of UNESCO in Iraq, Tim Mizen, and Professor Ann Katrine, the general coordinator for implementing the Polish path in Iraq, praised the role played by the Northern Technical University in implementing the path within specific international frameworks and striving to make it successful and developing its application in other scientific departments, as it is one of the Technical universities that have experience in this field can be emulated by other academic universities.
