Northern Technical University Organizes Workshop on Laboratory Safety and Emergency Procedures…

Northern Technical University organized a workshop on raising awareness of safety and emergency procedures in laboratories, under the patronage of the President of the University, Professor Dr. Alya Abbas Ali Al-Attar.
The workshop was organized by the Civil Defense Division at the University Presidency, in cooperation with the Quality Assurance and University Performance Division at the Technical Engineering College / Mosul, and was titled “Awareness of Safety and Emergency Procedures in Laboratories in Accordance with Civil Defense Instructions.”
The workshop aimed to promote a culture of occupational safety and to enhance the awareness of academic and technical staff regarding preventive measures and proper response to emergency situations within laboratories, in line with Civil Defense regulations, thereby contributing to the provision of a safe educational environment.
The workshop covered several key topics, including the fundamentals of laboratory safety, evacuation mechanisms, and methods for using firefighting equipment. It also emphasized the importance of adhering to approved guidelines and instructions to minimize potential risks.
