Northern Technical University Organizes Global “Earth Hour 2026” Event.

Northern Technical University organized the global “Earth Hour 2026” event under the patronage of the University President, Professor Dr. Alia Abbas Ali Al-Attar.
The event was jointly conducted by the Department of Scholarships and Cultural Relations and the Department of Media and Government Communication on Saturday, March 28, 2026, at 8:00 PM, at the University Presidency headquarters.
The event witnessed wide participation from university staff, students, international students, as well as female students residing in the dormitories. During the event, lights were switched off for a full hour as a symbolic gesture aimed at promoting energy conservation and raising awareness about the importance of environmental protection and mitigating climate change.
The University Presidency emphasized its commitment to supporting global environmental initiatives and fostering a culture of social responsibility among students and staff, contributing to the development of a more aware and sustainable society.
This event comes as part of a series of activities carried out by Northern Technical University, in alignment with global efforts to protect the planet and preserve its resources for future generations.
