Northern Technical University organizes a workshop titled “Managing the Quality System and Supporting Standards for Universities.”

Under the patronage of Dr. Alyaa Abbas Ali Al-Attar, the President of Northern Technical University, the Quality Assurance and University Performance Department organized a workshop titled “Managing the Quality System and Supporting Standards for Universities.” This workshop is part of a series of scientific activities aimed at enhancing the culture of quality and academic accreditation in higher education institutions.

The workshop aimed to familiarize participants with the most important international systems and standards in quality management, as well as their implementation mechanisms in universities to ensure the efficiency of academic and administrative performance. It also highlighted the role of supporting standards in developing a sustainable educational environment capable of meeting the demands of scientific advancement.

During the workshop, scientific lectures were presented by:

Dr. Khalil Ibrahim Mahmood, a member of the Iraqi Institutional Accreditation Council specializing in quality and academic accreditation, who addressed several topics including: planning and implementing a quality management system according to the ISO 21001 standard, mechanisms for evaluating institutional performance, and the role of university leadership in achieving institutional excellence.

At the conclusion of the workshop, Dr. Alyaa Abbas Ali Al-Attar emphasized the importance of utilizing the workshop’s outcomes to develop quality systems within the university, in line with the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research’s directions towards ensuring the quality of education and its outputs.
