Under the patronage of the President of the Northern Technical University, Prof. Dr. Alia Abbas Ali Al-Attar, the Women’s Empowerment Unit, in cooperation with the Central Library Department at the University Presidency, organized an awareness-raising scientific workshop entitled “Family Rebellion, its Causes, and Treatment”

The lecture was delivered by Assistant Professor Dr. Muhammad Abdul Mawjood Hasan. It dealt  with  the effects of breaking out on religious, moral, and social concepts, traditions, customs, and social heritage that are known, circulated, and accepted, and the attempt to erase or completely change them and replace them with concepts, traditions, customs, and an intrusive, new, hybrid and imported inheritance.

The workshop also touched on a number of defense mechanisms, including repression, denial, withdrawal, replacement, and displacement.

Finally, the workshop reached a number of recommendations, including:

• The necessity of holding educational courses, scientific seminars, and educational and awareness-raising workshops on how to build the personality of our children and adolescents, who are the backbone of society.
• The family is the basic building block of society and the social relationship is based on rights and duties in order to protect the family structure from demolition and protect its members from dispersal and loss.
• The importance of the role of the educational psychological counselor in society in general and our universities in particular.
