Northern Technical University holds an interactive seminar on cognitive behavior and its extent of use in Canada and Europe.

Under the patronage and guidance of Prof.Dr. Aliaa Abbas Al-Attar, President of the University, and in cooperation with Al-Khaymah Foundation, Psychological Counseling and Educational Guidance Division organized an interactive educational seminar on cognitive behavior and its extent of use in Canada and Europe… The seminar was presented by the international expert consultant Farouk Al-Dabbagh, a member of Al-Khaymah Foundation and a professor of cognitive behavior from Dalarna University in Sweden, who spoke about a main idea that changing thoughts leads to changing feelings, which then leads to changing behavior, starting from a main idea: change your thoughts, your life changes… The President of the University, in honoring the guest, referred to the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research’s orientations in caring for the psychological and behavioral aspects of individuals, and that universities seek to develop and qualify scientific competencies capable of dealing with youth in a scientific manner capable of facing the challenges facing society. .. A large number of officials from the Psychological Counseling and Educational Guidance Divisions in all Nineveh universities participated in the seminar, in addition to a number of university students.
It is worth noting that this symposium may open new horizons to learn about Western experiences in the field of cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT) in developed countries that preceded us in the field of promoting mental health in societies.
