Northern Technical University Higher Council for Quality Assurance Holds Its Second Periodic Meeting.

The Higher Council for Quality Assurance at Northern Technical University held its second periodic meeting for the academic year 2025–2026, chaired by the President of the University, Professor Dr. Alyaa Abbas Ali Al-Attar, with the attendance of Council members and Deans of all University colleges.
The meeting addressed key strategic matters related to institutional and programmatic accreditation, laboratory accreditation, national and international rankings, and the quality of educational outcomes. The Council reviewed departmental performance reports within the Iraqi National Ranking, discussed noted observations, and approved practical measures to enhance academic performance across University formations.
The Council also reviewed preparations for the post-institutional accreditation phase, mechanisms for completing national accreditation requirements, and the establishment of a Graduate Follow-up Unit to strengthen engagement with the labor market. In addition, the meeting discussed procedures for obtaining ISO certification in alignment with national and international quality standards.
Concluding the meeting, the University President emphasized the importance of sustained institutional efforts in quality assurance and accreditation, affirming their role in reinforcing Northern Technical University’s academic standing at both the national and international levels.
