Under the patronage of Prof. Dr. Alia Abbas Ali Al-Attar, President of the Northern Technical University, and the supervision of Assistant Professor Shahla Abdel-Wahab Abdel-Qader, the Department of Office Administration Techniques organized a scientific workshop entitled (Sustainability, the Green Environment, its Reflections, and Dimensions), the lecture was delivered by Mrs. Lamia Muhammad Jassim/teacher

The workshop addressed the definition of sustainable development as the only way to ensure obtaining the necessities of life in the present and the future, and to achieve this goal in a society, it is necessary to link sustainable development with education. individual and society; Therefore, it is necessary to develop curricula and keep pace with the developments that the world has witnessed, which in turn will enable the learner to develop the various aspects of life, because the human being is the engine of change and the plan and implementer of sustainable development. The workshop aimed to:

1. Recognize the implications of the green environment in all fields
2. Dimensions of sustainability application for the green environment

The workshop made several recommendations:

1. Establishing and promoting the green orientation among workers in public sector institutions so that they can contribute to the protection of the environment and the preservation of natural resources at the individual level, to create workers aware of the environment and nature at the organizational level, to be able to address the problems that can be faced to achieve sustainability through the creation of a culture green organization.
2. Preparing training and awareness programs that take care of the various elements that maintain the environment of institutions in the public sector
3. Facilitate the use of modern means of communication and information technology among public sector institutions
4. Setting a set of environmental standards and linking them to the performance of workers in public sector institutions to evaluate their performance in light of their orientation towards green practices
