Under the patronage of Prof. Dr. Alia Abbas Ali Al-Attar, President of the Northern Technical University, and under the supervision of Assistant Professor Shahla Abdul-Wahab Abdul-Qadir, Dean of the Mosul Technical Institute, the Department of Chemical Industries organized a scientific course entitled (Polymers and their Modern Industrial Applications), in which the following:

Aim of the course:

1. Definition of polymers and their types.
2. Opening a field for polymer research.
3. Introducing the members of the Chemical and Chemical Industries Department to the modern uses of natural and industrial polymers
4. Shed light on the polymers used in our daily life and educate the non-specialist about the types of polymer.
5. Knowing the methods of preparing polymers from chemicals and petrochemical oil derivatives.
6. Distinguishing between silicone and hydrocarbon polymers in terms of composition, methods of preparation, and definition of their natural and industrial uses.
