STANDARD MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
Education:
• Hold at least a bachelor’s degree in economics, business administration, energy policy, or related fields.
Language:
• Arabic and English Language is required.
Experience:
• Minimum fifteen (15) years of experience related to financial entities.
• Climate financing experience with public and private banks, preferably central banks.
• Experience with high-level governmental officials.
• Experience with donors.
• Previous work experience with UN agencies.
OBJECTIVES:
The objective of the consultancy is to support UNDP in its efforts to roll out the initiative of the CBI to achieve the following:
1. Identify and analyze existing enablers including governmental entities, banks, and private sector companies among others.
2. Support the project team in finalizing the project document through coordination with related stakeholders.
3. Coordination with CBI for the implementation of the measures recommended by the Project Team.
4. Participate in the reporting on the progress of the work.
5. Support to the establishment of or strengthening of the National Guarantee Body.
KEY TASKS AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
The National Expert on RE financial initiatives will have the responsibility of supporting the development of the CBI project document for UNDP including:
• Support the Project Team and the regional expert on the collection and analysis of the required data.
• Coordinate with national stakeholders to review project document drafts and collect feedback
• Facilitate of and reporting on consultation meetings with the stakeholders
• The final project document shall respond to any comments from relevant public and private stakeholders as well as UNDP.
• Support to the establishment of or strengthening of National Guarantee Body.
SCOPE OF WORK
• Support the Project Team and the regional expert on the collection and analysis of the required data. – Data collection report – 5 Days – 1 November 2023.
• Coordinate with national stakeholders to review project document drafts and collect feedback – Stakeholder feedback report – 5 Dyas – 15 November 2023.
• Facilitate and report on consultation meetings with the stakeholders – Meeting report – 5 Days – 10 December 2023.
• Support finalizing the project document which shall respond to any comments from relevant public and private stakeholders as well as UNDP – Report on inputs provided to the Project document – 5 Days – 25 December 2023.
