In response to an invitation from the Arab Volunteer Union, the President of the Northern Technical University attends the ceremony honoring the winners of the Arab Council for World Youth Award in its first edition , which was held in the Kingdom of Bahrain in the presence of Sheikh Isa bin Ali Al Khalifa, Undersecretary of the Ministry of Cabinet Affairs of Bahrain, Mr. Osama bin Ahmed, Minister of Social Development of Bahrain, and a number of Undersecretaries of Ministers and Ambassadors in the Kingdom of Bahrain. The award is organized by the Arab Youth Council, which is headquartered at Prince Mohammed bin Fahd University, in partnership with the Arab Volunteer Union.
The award aims to spread the culture of quality and excellence in performance, and encourage youth institutions to improve their services and products by focusing on sustainable development and digital transformation. It also seeks to highlight distinguished administrative practices in caring for and qualifying youth, and spreading the culture of empowering them in various sectors.
The award is based on three main courses: “Promising” which focuses on youth products and programs compatible with twenty-first century skills; “Enablers” which includes institutions that work to empower youth; and “Inspiring” which honors influential figures who have made notable contributions to supporting youth.
During the ceremony, it was agreed with the Arab Council for World Youth that the Northern Technical University would be one of the official media outlets for the award, with the aim of promoting it through the university’s platforms and providing an opportunity for its graduates to apply and participate. It was also agreed to launch initiatives such as “Rain Harvesting” and “Creativity and Innovation” to enhance the university’s role in supporting sustainable development. In a move to enhance academic cooperation, it was agreed to sign a number of memoranda of understanding with Prince Mohammad bin Fahd University. In conclusion, the university president praised the importance of these initiatives that motivate young people to innovate and create, and expressed her pride in the participation of the Northern Technical University in such global events that enhance the role of education in empowering future generations.
