Under the patronage of the President of the Northern Technical University, Prof. Dr. Alia Abbas Ali Al-Attar, and under the supervision of Prof. Omar Khalil Ahmed, Dean of the Institute, the Department of Electrical Technology organized a scientific course on batteries used in solar energy systems.

It was attended by a number of the institute’s employees and students

The course covered a general introduction to batteries, their classification, types, specifications of batteries used in solar energy systems, how to use them correctly, and how to connect the battery matrix.

The course showed the need to know the specifications of batteries for optimal use of them and what prevents them from being damaged quickly.

The course aimed at the necessity of choosing and optimizing the use of the battery according to the solar system used.

The session came out with several recommendations, including the correct selection of the solar battery in what is appropriate for the solar system.
