Under the patronage of the President of the Northern Technical University, Prof. Dr. Alia Abbas Ali Al-Attar, and under the supervision of Prof. Dr. Omar Khalil Ahmed, Dean of the Institute, the Department of Electrical Technology organized a course on “OFDM technology in internal optical wireless communications”

The lecture was delivered in the session by Assistant Professor Husnia Jassim Abdullah, and it was attended by a number of the institute’s employees. The course dealt with:

• wireless communications.
• Types of analog and digital modulation systems.
• Optical Communications LiFi
• OFDM technology in radio and optical communications.

The session indicated that there is an urgent need to use optical communication technology in addition to communicating using radio frequencies.

The course aimed at introducing the course participants to the modern technologies in the field of wireless communications, which are now used in all aspects of life.

The session came out with the following recommendations:

• For the importance of the subject of communication in daily life, it is necessary to know all modern methods of communication.
• Recognize the difference between wireless communication, wifi, and optical communication, which began to be used in the world.
