Hawija Technical Institute organized a scientific symposium on “molded electrical circuit breakers”

Under the patronage of the President of the Northern Technical University, Prof. Dr. Alia Abbas Ali Al-Attar, and under the supervision of Prof. Dr. Omar Khalil Ahmed, Dean of the Institute, the Department of Electrical Technology, in cooperation with the Rehabilitation, Employment, and Follow-up Unit, organized a scientific symposium on (molded electrical circuit breakers)

The lecture was delivered at the symposium:

  • Assistant Professor Dr. Zaki Majeed Abdullah
  • Assistant teacher Husnia Jassim Abdullah

It was attended by a number of the institute’s employees

The seminar dealt with:

  1. A brief introduction to electrical switches.
  2. Types of molded electrical switches.
  3. The meanings of the symbols on the circuit breaker.
  4. How to calculate currents and times when cutting.

The seminar indicated:

  • The use of molded circuit breakers is limited to industrial sites and important loads with high currents.
  • The possibility of calibrating and monitoring the work of the cutter via the computer.

The symposium aimed at:

  • Introducing the institute’s employees and students to the latest developments in the mechanism of electrical circuit breakers.
  • Explaining the importance of using modern technologies in controlling electrical loads.

The seminar came out with the following recommendations:

  • It is necessary to use modern circuit breakers of solid origin to avoid the occurrence of all kinds of electrical problems.
  • Harmonizing the use of the electrical circuit breaker and the loads it feeds.
