Under the patronage of the President of the Northern Technical University, Prof. Dr. Alia Abbas Ali Al-Attar, and with the follow-up of Prof. Omar Khalil Ahmed, Dean of the Institute, the Department of Electronic Technologies organized a course on (gender-based violence)

The lecture was delivered by Dr. Sahib Jalal Ajaj

It was attended by a number of the institute’s employees and students.

The session dealt with the causes of violence against women, girls, or boys, and the extent of the suffering of societies from it.

And solutions that can prevent it or reduce its risk.

And the dangers that afflict society because it targets the foundation upon which all societies in the world are based, and it is the family that represents the true nucleus of all societies

The course indicated:

Women, in general, are the victims of these violent practices against them through the deprivation of the will to choose, the marriage of minors, sex trafficking, abuse from relatives or close friends, and other types of abuse.

The course aimed to deal with this phenomenon seriously and not tolerate it, because if it continues and spreads on wider levels, it will destroy society. This is what we notice through the increasing rates in the world of the size of the assault and the compulsion to do things against the will of these victims.

The session came out with the following recommendations:-

Awareness of the available means as much as possible through seminars and conferences through the audio-visual communication channels of the community and at the level of educational and educational institutions, human rights organizations, civil society organizations, and others to form a clear vision for people about the disasters, the fates and the dire consequences of this phenomenon if it continues at this pace.
