Under the patronage of the President of the Northern Technical University, Prof. Dr. Alia Abbas Ali Al-Attar, and under the supervision of Prof. Dr. Omar Khalil Ahmed, Dean of the Hawija Technical Institute, the Office Management Techniques Department organized a course on (developing management skills according to the Kaizen methodology) and the lecture was delivered by:
- Assistant Professor Dr. Basir Khalaf Khazal
- Teacher Murad Musa Abd
The session dealt with:
- What is meant by the Kaizen methodology?
- What is the difference between the terms management and leadership.
- What is the philosophy of kaizen methodology?
- The difference between management according to Kaizen and traditional management.
- Principles and Characteristics of Kaizen Methodology.
- Skills development according to the Kaizen methodology.
The course indicated that the culture of continuity of small improvements and the unification of the application of standard scientific laws in the production and service sector yields great results in the field of improving productivity and services for organizations.
The course aimed to:
- Getting to know the Kaizen philosophy and its requirements to develop the skills of employees so that what we do today, must be better than yesterday.
- The ability to eliminate waste through continuous improvement of standard programs and methods.
The session came out with the following recommendations:-
- The need to break down the changes into simple and easily achievable instructions.
- Instead of looking at things critically, suggesting improvements will produce better results.
- Relying on teamwork and appreciating all ideas.
- All matters that increase the well-being of employees, achieve their satisfaction and support their motivation must be applied.
