Northern Technical University (NTU) operates a highly structured and decentralized Ethical Compliance Framework that ensures integrity across all its 18 technical formations. This system is anchored by two primary executive bodies: the Internal Audit and Control Department and the Legal Affairs Department, both reporting directly to the University Presidency.

To guarantee localized oversight, NTU has established a dedicated Compliance & Legal Unit within each of its 18 colleges and institutes across Nineveh, Kirkuk, and Salah al-Din. Each unit is led by a Designated Official responsible for monitoring ethical standards, professional conduct, and administrative transparency. Furthermore, the central Internal Audit and Control Department conducts regular field visits to all formations—often in alignment with the standards set by the Federal Board of Supreme Audit (FBSA). these visits serve as a proactive mechanism to audit ethical compliance, investigate grievances, and ensure that all institutional activities adhere to national laws and international academic ethics.
