As part of the ongoing scientific achievements of the faculty members at the Agricultural Technical College, Asst. Prof. Ahmed Ibrahim Yousif successfully published his research titled:

"Synergistic effects of boron and zinc foliar applications on growth and post-harvest storage attributes of potato (Solanum tuberosum L.) cultivar Argana"

This research was published in BMC Plant Biology, a highly reputable, peer-reviewed international journal indexed in Scopus and Clarivate, and ranked within the first quartile (Q1).

The study aims to investigate the effects of foliar application of different levels of zinc (Zn) and boron (B) on the growth and yield of the potato cultivar Argana, in addition to evaluating their influence on post-harvest storage characteristics. The results revealed a significant increase in total yield, and further demonstrated that the combined application of boron and zinc effectively improved the nutritional and physiological quality of the tubers, enhancing their storage capability over extended periods with higher efficiency.

This achievement represents a valuable contribution to the scientific and research output of the College and reflects the dedication of its faculty members to publishing high-quality research that supports the development of the agricultural sector and advances scientific knowledge.
