Concluding of University Volleyball Championship Finals at the Northern Technical University

Under the patronage of the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research and the supervision of the Scientific Supervision and Evaluation Body, the finals of the University Volleyball Championship for both public universities and private colleges were concluded at the closed hall of the Northern Technical University. The tournament was organized by the Student Activities Department – Sports Division, with the participation of eight teams representing both male and female categories.

The championship witnessed distinguished official and academic attendance, led by the President of the Northern Technical University, Professor Dr. Aliaa Abbas Al-Attar, and Dr. Hasanen Basim Al-Shadeedi, Director of the Student Activities Department at the Scientific Supervision and Evaluation Body, in addition to several assistant university presidents from participating institutions, as well as prominent academic and sports figures.

In his speech during the closing ceremony, Dr. Hasanen Basim Al-Shadeedi emphasized that this championship is part of the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research’s strategy to enhance student activities and foster a spirit of healthy competition among students. He noted that university sports represent a fundamental pillar in building a well-rounded student personality, as they instill values of teamwork, discipline, and commitment. He also added that the Ministry continues to support and organize more sporting events that contribute to discovering talents and refining students’ capabilities at various levels.

The matches were characterized by a high technical level and a positive competitive spirit among the participating teams, reflecting the development of university sports activities and the commitment of educational institutions to supporting youth talents.
