CAMPUS MASTER PLAN
The Northern Technical University (NTU) is a government technical university established in the academic year 2014-2015 after being split from the Technical Education Authority. The university includes five main campuses with nine specialized colleges and seven technical institutes distributed in three governorates in the northern region of Iraq (Nineveh, Kirkuk, and Salah-Al-Din Governorates). The total campus area of the university is around 4845493 m2 and the total distance is about 19.89 km. Northern Technical University’s environmental campuses are in urban areas with medium forest cover. The main campus is located in Mosul district at Al-Minassa Street. Mosul is the capital of the Nineveh governorate. Ninevah is located in the north of Iraq and is considered the second biggest city. It has a total area of 37,323 km² and a total population of 4,980,000, which means a low population density of 133 inhabitants per km².
Al-Dor campus is located in Al- Dur district, one of the cities of Saladin Governorate in Iraq. It is located on the eastern bank of the Tigris River, almost in the middle between Samarra and Tikrit. It is about 30 km north of Samarra and about 25 km south of Tikrit. It has a total area of 2836 km² and a total population of 21120, which means a low population density of 7.4 inhabitants per km².
Al-Hawija campus is located in Al-Hawija district, Al-Hawija district in the Kirkuk Governorate of Iraq, 45 km west of Kirkuk, and north of Baghdad. It has a total area of 1903 km² and a total population of 468600, which means about 246 inhabitants per km². more information
