Applied Mechanics Techniques Engineering

About the Department:

The department was established in 1998 under the name “Refrigeration and Air Conditioning Engineering Technology Department.” In 2018, the department’s title was changed to “Power Mechanics Engineering Technology Department,” where its scope was expanded to include three specialized scientific branches based on a course system:

Refrigeration and Air Conditioning Branch.

Renewable Energy Branch.

Production and Automation Branch.

In 2022, the Production and Automation Branch was separated to become an independent department due to its distinguished human and material capabilities, and was named “Applied Mechanical Engineering Technology Department.” The department accepts students in both morning and evening studies for the academic year 2023/2024 according to the Bologna System, which has been officially adopted as the latest academic system. Additionally, the department offers opportunities for graduate studies (Master’s degree) specializing in Applied Mechanics starting from the academic year 2024/2025.

Graduate Job Description:

Graduates are qualified during a period of four years of undergraduate study, which is the first known strength of the advanced technical cadre. This period of study supports new developments in the construction industry, qualifying them to obtain a degree in mechanical engineering technology at college and university through design, study, analysis, and direct control of work-related components.
Graduates of this program are often at a crossroads of career paths, namely:
1. Analytical study.
2. Advanced research.
3. Design and construction.
Thanks to this specialization, graduates are able to pursue the following professional engineering careers:
1. Develop mathematical tables and design mechanical parts using computers, and study the economic feasibility of various projects in the field of specialization.
2. Historical breakdowns of maintenance and repair work for mechanical systems in the Gulf industrial and service region.
3. Conduct recent studies to change the field of specialization.
4. Design production lines in a variety of ways.
5. Ensure comprehensive production processes for devices and machines.
6- Managing the work of parts using the latest modifications.
