The Department of Medical Plants and Natural Products Technologies organized an applied laboratory session for first-year evening study students in the subject “Soil Fundamentals.”
The session focused on introducing students to the laboratory tools and equipment used in soil laboratories, as well as the basic procedures for conducting essential soil analyses.

The lecture, delivered by Asst. Prof. Dr. Roaa Naufal Nafea, included hands-on training on measuring soil pH and electrical conductivity (EC), in addition to performing an experiment for determining calcium and magnesium content using approved scientific methodologies.
This practical component aims to strengthen students’ laboratory skills and effectively connect theoretical knowledge with real scientific applications.

This session comes as part of the department’s curriculum designed to develop students’ practical competencies and prepare them to perform laboratory analyses accurately and efficiently in accordance with the latest scientific standards.
