Agricultural Technical College (productive college)
Under the auspices of the President of the Northern Technical University, the respected Professor Dr. Alia Abbas Al-Attar, and under the supervision and guidance of the Dean of the Agricultural Technical College, the respected Professor Dr. Shihab Ahmed Al-Bajari.
Through its future vision, the Agricultural Technical College sought to be at the forefront of productive colleges and integrate them into practical life by studying the requirements of the labor market, similar to those of productive colleges in Iraqi universities, as it became able to provide plant and animal products.
Among these products achieved by the College of Agricultural Technology:
1- The fish hatchery and laboratory project is one of the successful and vital production projects that preserve the sustainable environment, supply the river with fish, and contribute to preserving the fish environment.
2- Producing honey (eucalyptus honey) in the educational college apiary and selling it at subsidized prices.
3- Production of milk, meat, eggs and wool.
4- Strawberry production.
5- Mushroom production.
As the Agricultural Technical College has become one of the colleges interacting with the community through a set of activities that add to its basic role, through which it achieves additional resources for it and enhances its budget to develop some of its educational activities and services, scientific research and public service, in which these functions are integrated to achieve some additional financial resources for the university, Through various methods and means, including: evening studies, continuing education, consulting, contractual research, and productive activities. And community service through its active contribution to the campaigns of afforestation of government institutions, schools and universities and the increase of green spaces. Additionally, the college is exploring other projects under study that would make it at the forefront of productive and successful colleges on the scientific and practical level.
