To encourage the scientific movement and in support of graduate students, the President of the Northern Technical University Professor Alia Abbas Ali Al-Attar received in her office Dr. Nwar Abdul Ghani Sultan who presented his dissertation to her in recognition of her great support to him at all levels.

His dissertation included the design and development of a framework for durability of implementation of Blockchain-based big data application using container technology.
It presented the idea of designing and implementing a new framework to support the management of durability, implementation of big data applications, a failure recovery approach to the services provided by Blockchain and the Container Virtualization technologies used. Blockchain technology has been adapted for big data applications to achieve scalability through faster query mechanisms and reduce the computational power needed to process data blocks.

The proposed framework’s performance was assessed through a number of real experiments to manage vehicle flow data by considering some important metrics. The results obtained revealed that the developed framework significantly enhanced performance in terms of the number of transactions, the time of mass creation and the time of full text search by improving the productivity of transactions while reducing mass creation and search times.

In conclusion, the proposed framework improved processing speed, scalability and reliability and proved to be a viable solution for real-time applications even as the volume of data increased.
