In the implementation of the directives of Prof. Dr. Alia Abbas Al-Attar, President of the Northern Technical University, a committee from the presidency of the university visited to follow up on the creation of a group of scientific departments for medical specialties headed by Prof. Dr. Muhammad Yawuz Nour El-Din, Dean of the College of Health and Medical Technology, and they were received by Assistant Professor Dr. Mazhar Abbas Ahmed, Dean of the Institute and his assistants, and the purpose of the visit was To follow up on developments in the institute regarding the Health and Medical Technical College / Al-Door, which includes two departments:

• Department of Physical Therapy Techniques.
• Department of Optometry Techniques.
• Department of Communicable Diseases Techniques

The latter is added to the group of medical specialties at the institute.

As the committee made an inspection tour to see the readiness of the institute in terms of buildings and specialized scientific laboratories for the above departments. As well as classrooms and administrative suites.

This visit comes within the future vision of the university, which was adopted by the esteemed president of the university to expand the horizons of the university, advance the educational process and meet the needs of the province for technical specializations that serve the labor market.
