Workshop on the mechanism of applying to French research grants 2025, for full-time academic lecturer…

Under the patronage of Northern Technical University President, Prof. Dr. Aliaa Abbas Ali Al-Attar, and under the supervision of University President Assistant for Scientific Affairs, Assistant Professor Dr. Omar Rafae, Scholarships and Cultural Relations Department, in cooperation with the Francophone Corner Unit at the University Presidency, held a workshop entitled:

• “Mechanism of applying to the French Research Grant 2025 for a full-time academic lecturer (conditions and guidance)”
The workshop was held by Assistant Professor Dr. Omar Hazem Muhammad, Head of the Francophone Corner Unit at the University Presidency, and the Director of Scholarships and Cultural Relations Department, Dr. Saud Abdulaziz Muhammad
The workshop aimed at introducing the mechanism of applying for research grants in general and to applying for French grants in particular for a full-time academic lecturer for post-doctoral study (scientific sabbatical). The workshop addressed the guidance for research grants for a full-time academic, their conditions, how to apply for them, how to obtain acceptance from French universities, and the duties and rights of those accepted in the aforementioned grant. This workshop directed lecturers to apply for research grants and learn about their details. A practical experience was also addressed For one of the beneficiaries of this grant from the moment he applied until after his return and commencement at the university. In conclusion, the attendees raised some questions and inquiries about research grants and the challenges and obstacles facing the research grant applicant were addressed in order to overcome them and they were discussed with the officials in the Department of Scholarships and Cultural Relations. The attendees also thanked the organizers of this workshop for addressing many important details on the subject of research grants for full-time academics.
