Within the instructions of the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research, the Northern Technical University organizes a second tour for its students to acquaint them with the civilization of Iraq
Under the guidance of Professor Dr. Aliya Abbas Al-Attar, President of the Northern Technical University, the Peaceful Coexistence Unit organized a field trip for its students from various provinces in cooperation with the Department of Government Media and Communication and the internal departments…
The program included a visit to the Mosul Heritage Foundation, which includes artifacts reflecting the civilization of this ancient city with its history, buildings, and authentic heritage. Mr. Mohannad Atiya Al-Aw, head of the Guidance Unit at the Nineveh Institute, spoke with the students in a dialogue session about the authentic social values in our Iraqi society, such as honesty, sincerity, respect, neighbourhood preservation, honouring parents, and other noble qualities that should be upheld, as our society faces challenges that threaten them. The program also included a visit to the Al-Nuri Mosque, the Al-Bayaa Courtyard, and a delightful stop near the ancient bridge with seagulls, as well as a quick tour of the popular heritage market of Bab Al-Saray. It is worth mentioning that the program was launched last year and we are resuming it in light of the instructions of the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research, which aim to spread cultural and civilizational awareness of Iraq’s historical and archaeological regions, as well as to instil the moral and social values that our Iraqi society is known for in the minds of youth.
