Women Empowerment Organization (WEO) in partnership with IOM -Iraq is pleased to announce the opening of the call for applications for Advocacy Specialist under the project “National Women’s Consultation on PVE.
WEO is looking for a results-oriented organizational Advocacy Specialist to closely work with the selected CSOs by WEO in Iraq to develop an Advocacy Toolkit tailored to the specific needs and challenges of the country in Preventing Violent Extremism (PVE) and women’s participation.

Qualifications:
· A minimum of five years of experience in Lobby, Advocacy, and Communication.
· Experience and knowledge of the humanitarian and development context and situation in Iraq.
· Extensive knowledge of the political situation as well as the regional and cultural differences in Iraq and the region. Experience working in a multi-cultural and/or international work environment.
· Previous experience working with local women rights organizations, especially in PVE and advocacy program design.
· Experience in Women Peace Security Agenda, UNSCR 1325, and relevant topics.
· Demonstrated ability to build and maintain relationships with organizations, networks, decision makers, and other relevant stakeholders working on the WPS agenda.
· Strong writing and communication skills, with experience in developing tools, advocacy plans and strategies, reports, etc. in both English and Arabic languages.
· Excellent project management and organizational skills.
