User Data Protection Procedures

The mechanisms followed by the Software Division at the Electronic Computer Center for Information Safety and Security for all systems, applications and websites affiliated with our esteemed university,

  1. Determine a specific number of attempts to access the system, in order to prevent unauthorized access.

  2. Prevent any attempted SQL Injection, which is a type of attack that exploits vulnerabilities in databases.

  3. Use Google reCAPTCHA security system for web applications, to increase the security of systems and applications.

  4. Determine the number of ports used by university systems, in order to prevent unauthorized access to these ports.

  5. Enforce the activation of the two-step verification feature for university email accounts, in order to increase the security of these accounts.

  6. Activate the protection feature and subscribe to (SSL – Secure Socket Layer) to secure information and protect the site from unauthorized access, as this feature is applicable to all sites and services provided by our esteemed university.

  7. The security measures that must be taken to protect against email accounts being hacked were also circulated by the Website Division to all university formations according to the number 7/2/8443 on 8/28/2023, which included:

  8. Use a complex password, using random letters, numbers, and symbols.

  9. Do not use a password from the dictionary, as it is difficult to hack.

  10. Do not use a single password for all your accounts.

  11. Add your personal phone number to your email, to increase security in case you forget your password.

  12. Use email only from secured devices.

  13. Change your password periodically, to increase security in case your accounts are hacked.

  14. Do not open emails that arrive from an unknown source, in order to prevent the spread of viruses and malware.
