University President Chairs the Periodic Meeting of the University Journals’ Editors and Managers

The President of the Northern Technical University, Professor Dr. Alyaa Abbas Al-Attar, chaired the periodic meeting of the editors-in-chief and managers of the university’s journals, held to follow up on journal operations and review the latest developments and preparations for inclusion in international indexing databases. The meeting hosted Professor Dr. Aziz Ibrahim Abdullah, Managing Editor of the Tikrit Journal of Engineering Sciences.
The meeting addressed several key topics:
1.Statistics on scientific publishing and the indexing of the university journals’ research in local and international platforms.
2.Discussion of research impact indicators for all university journals based on data from Scopus.
3.Review of strategies to enhance scientific collaboration within journal publications, including international cooperation and institutional collaboration inside and outside the university.
4.Examination of the requirements for Scopus registration and an assessment of the journals’ readiness for inclusion in global indexing databases to elevate their scientific standing.
The discussion broadened the shared commitment to advancing the university’s publishing ecosystem and strengthening its presence in the international academic community.
