The Northern Technical University Organizes a Ceremony to Commemorate International Human Rights Day .

Under the patronage and in the presence of the President of the Northern Technical University, Professor Dr. Alia Abbas Ali Al-Attar, the Human Rights Unit at the College of Engineering Technology/Mosul, in cooperation with the Media and Government Communication Division, organized a celebration this morning, Tuesday, December 9, 2025, to commemorate International Human Rights Day. The event was attended by a group of faculty and students of the college.

The program was presented by Professor Dr. Muhammad Abdul-Mawjoud, Head of the Human Rights Unit. The event began with a recitation of verses from the Holy Quran, followed by a speech from the President and Dean of the College. Afterwards, Professor Dr. Talal Abdul-Hussein, Head of the Public Law Department at the College of Law/University of Mosul, delivered a legal lecture addressing the importance of promoting a culture of rights and freedoms, and the role of educational institutions in disseminating legal awareness within the academic community.

The celebration also featured readings of patriotic and humanitarian poetry by Dr. Hamid Abdulwahab from the Imam Al-Azam University College, whose verses conveyed valuable messages emphasizing human dignity and the right to live in peace and justice.

The event concluded with the university president honoring the speakers and emphasizing the importance of instilling human rights principles within the university campus as a cornerstone of societal development.
