In partnership with the Northern Technical University, UNESCO launches the first lecture series on heritage preservation.

In a qualitative step that reflects the Northern Technical University’s commitment to supporting international efforts to protect human heritage and enhance academic and community awareness, the Hadba Hall at the Northern Technical University hosted the first lecture in the “Topics in Heritage Preservation” series, organized by UNESCO as part of the “Reviving the Spirit of Mosul” initiative in partnership with the university.
The lecture was delivered by international expert Dr. Asaad Saif, a member of the International Scientific Committee for Archaeological Heritage Management. The session was attended by distinguished community figures and elites, as well as representatives from government agencies and the private sector, and students from the Department of Building and Construction Engineering Technology.
This initiative comes within the framework of enhancing integration between international expertise and local academic institutions, contributing to the development of a generation of engineers and researchers capable of fulfilling the responsibilities of protecting cultural and civilizational heritage, especially in cities with a deep historical legacy such as Mosul.
