The President of the Northern Technical University, Professor Dr. Aliaa Abbas Ali Al-Attar, launched the Religious Leadership Award for the university’s formations at the Nineveh site.

The award was organized by the Government Media and Communications Department and the Women’s Affairs Division, as part of her continuous support for scientific and cultural activities aimed at enhancing religious awareness and consolidating tolerant Islamic values among students and staff.

The award aims to encourage a spirit of positive competition among the university’s formations, develop knowledge in the fields of jurisprudence, the Holy Quran, and the Prophet’s biography, as well as to establish the principles of moderation and centrism and spread a culture of constructive dialogue within the university campus.

Her Excellency affirmed that this initiative aligns with the university’s vision of building an integrated academic personality that combines scientific excellence and value commitment, emphasizing the importance of nurturing youth energies and directing them towards serving society and strengthening national and religious identity. The first round resulted in the team from the Mosul Technical Engineering College winning against the Mosul Polytechnic College.
