The President of the Northern Technical University and her accompanying delegation visited the University of Florence in Italy to discuss prospects for joint scientific cooperation.

 

In a Visit to the University of Florence, Exploring Prospects for Joint Scientific Cooperation

As part of her efforts to strengthen academic relations and engage with leading international universities, NTU President, Professor Dr. Alyaa Abbas Ali Al-Attar, accompanied by an academic delegation, visited the University of Florence in the Republic of Italy to explore avenues for joint scientific cooperation between the two institutions.

The delegation included Professor Dr. Hazim Baqir Taher, Director of the Department of Scholarships and Cultural Relations at the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research. During the visit, discussions focused on mechanisms for cooperation in scientific research, the exchange of academic expertise, the establishment of joint programs and workshops, as well as opportunities for student and faculty exchange. These initiatives aim to enhance the academic and scientific standards of Northern Technical University.

Professor Dr. Al-Attar emphasized the importance of this visit in strengthening international partnerships and supporting the university’s path toward excellence and global academic accreditation. She also praised the distinguished academic standing of the University of Florence and its advanced research capabilities.

For its part, the Italian side welcomed the visit and expressed its readiness to engage in joint cooperation in a manner that serves the scientific interests of both institutions.
