The university organizes the opening of the first scout camp at the level of Iraqi universities.

 Northern Technical University Organizes the Opening Ceremony of the First Scout Camp at the Level of Iraqi Universities

Under the patronage of the President of Northern Technical University, Prof. Dr. Alyaa Abbas Al-Attar, the University organized the opening ceremony of the first scout camp of its kind at the level of Iraqi universities. The event was held on the University’s sports field in a festive atmosphere that reflected the spirit of cooperation and national belonging.

The ceremony was attended by representatives of the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research, as well as academic and scouting figures, in addition to university students from various Iraqi provinces. The opening program featured scouting performances and symbolic displays embodying the values of discipline, solidarity, and teamwork.

The Presidency of Northern Technical University affirmed that this event represents a new achievement added to the University’s record in supporting extracurricular student activities, noting that the establishment of this camp aims to promote leadership, active citizenship, and volunteerism among students, while providing an environment that fosters creativity and initiative.

Participants expressed their satisfaction with the organization of the camp, emphasizing that it offers an important opportunity for exchanging experiences among students from universities across Iraq and for strengthening bonds of unity and national cohesion.

The camp activities will continue for four days and will include training workshops, environmental and social activities, as well as scouting competitions designed to develop students’ skills and enhance their community awareness.
