The University Organizes a Workshop Titled “The Role and Participation of Women in ISO Standards: Leading Quality and Sustainability”

Northern Technical University organized a workshop titled “The Role and Participation of Women in ISO Standards: Leading Quality and Sustainability,” under the patronage of the university president, Professor Dr. Aliaa Abbas Al-Attar. The workshop was held by the Women’s Affairs Division at the university, with the attendance of a number of university staff members.

The workshop was presented by Assistant Lecturer Abdullah Faris Waadallah. The number of female beneficiaries was (16), and the number of male beneficiaries was (9).

The workshop covered:
Understanding the concept of leadership in ISO and the role of women in supporting a quality culture, applying the principles of continuous improvement within their institutions, analyzing the challenges women face in the field of quality and sustainability and proposing practical solutions, and promoting a culture of environmental and social sustainability within the work environment.

The workshop aimed to:
Raise awareness of the role of women in applying and developing quality systems according to the standards of the International Organization for Standardization (ISO), empower women leaders to participate actively in the management of quality and sustainability systems within institutions, and clarify the relationship between quality leadership and achieving sustainable development goals.
