Northern Technical University Participates in Workshop as Part of the “Tawasul” Project.

Under the guidance of the esteemed President of Northern Technical University, Prof. Dr. Alia Abbas Ali Al-Attar, and the supervision of the Vice President for Scientific Affairs, Prof. Dr. Omar Rafea Mahmoud, the Northern Technical University, represented by the Career Development and Employment Division and the Women’s Affairs Division, took part in the consultative workshop entitled “From Needs Assessment to Designing an Effective Model for Career Guidance.” The event was held as part of the “Tawasul” project activities.
The workshop aimed to lay the groundwork for designing a comprehensive national model for career guidance within technical universities. Discussions focused on the concept of career guidance, strategies for its development, and the review of leading international practices in this field. The agenda also included the presentation of needs assessment results and group work sessions, where participants analyzed the current state of career guidance, identified major challenges and gaps, and proposed future training topics to support the development of an effective and sustainable career guidance system in Iraq.
This participation reflects Northern Technical University’s commitment to supporting its students and graduates by equipping them with the skills necessary to plan their career paths in line with the evolving demands of both local and international labor markets.
