The Agricultural Technical College organized a seminar on “The Role of Women in Confronting Domestic Violence.”
Under the patronage of the President of the Northern Technical University, Prof. Dr. Alia Abbas Al-Attar, and the guidance of the Dean of the Agricultural Technical College, Prof. Dr. Shihab Ahmed Al-Bajary, the Women’s Affairs Unit organized the seminar.

Objectives of the seminar:
To clarify the concept of domestic violence, its forms and causes, and highlight the role of women in confronting it.
The seminar discussed:
That women play a fundamental role in confronting domestic violence through awareness of their rights, refusal to remain silent about abuse, and seeking help from relevant authorities. Women also contribute to promoting a culture of respect within the family and raising children based on dialogue and equality. To achieve this, women must be supported through education, economic empowerment, and the enforcement of protective laws. Empowering women is a vital step toward building a balanced family and a safe, violence-free society.

A number of female faculty members and staff from the Agricultural Technical College – Mosul.
