The President of the Northern Technical University Honors a Talent from Al- Mauhubeen School in Nineveh Governorate.

In an initiative to support youth potential and nurture creativity, the President of Northern Technical University, Prof. Dr. Alyaa Abbas Al-Attar, honored student Jirgis Alaa Jirjis from Al-Mauhubeen School in Nineveh Governorate/ 5th preparatory grade, in recognition of his scientific achievements and outstanding creativity at both the Arab and international levels.

The student represented Iraq for the first time in the final stage of the International Chemistry Olympiad (IChO 57), which was held in the United Arab Emirates with participation from over 90 countries and 360 students from around the world. He also participated in the 10th Arab Chemistry Olympiad in the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan, where he won a silver medal, contributing to Iraq’s third-place finish in the Arab region.

During the honoring ceremony, the university president emphasized that the Northern Technical University places great importance on talents and innovations, striving to build bridges of communication with educational institutions in the governorate to support gifted students and provide them with opportunities to develop their scientific and research capabilities, benefiting their future and serving the community.

This honor is part of the university’s approach to encourage creatives of all ages and to adopt their innovative projects in line with scientific and technological advancements.
