The President of the Northern Technical University holds an extraordinary meeting with the Innovations Committee at the Kirkuk site.

The President of the Northern Technical University, Professor Dr. Alia Abbas Ali Al-Attar, held an extraordinary meeting with the Innovations Committee today at the Kirkuk site to discuss the university’s plan to establish new academic departments and formations that meet labor market requirements and keep pace with academic and technical developments.
The meeting, which was attended by the relevant deans, reviewed the most prominent proposals submitted by the formations in Kirkuk, focusing on the scientific, administrative, and logistical aspects required to approve these innovations in accordance with ministerial regulations.
During the meeting, the President of the University emphasized the importance of adopting a well-thought-out innovation policy based on a realistic analysis of the needs of society and the labor market. She emphasized the need to strengthen applied and technical specializations that contribute to the preparation of qualified personnel to meet development needs.
Her Excellency also called for accelerating the pace of work in preparing the innovation files and providing the necessary human and material resources to ensure the launch of the new departments in the next academic year, in accordance with approved academic standards. This meeting comes as part of the university’s ongoing efforts to develop its academic structure and expand its specialization base, in line with the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research’s vision to achieve quality education and innovation.
