The President of Northern Technical University was hosted by the Soran District Council.

As part of her official visit to Erbil Governorate, the President of Northern Technical University, Professor Dr. Alia Abbas Ali Al-Attar, was a guest of the Soran District Council. She was received by the District Mayor, Mr. Halgurd Najib Sharif, in the presence of the President of Soran University, a number of department directors from the University Presidency, and a number of local officials in the district.
During the meeting, they discussed ways to enhance scientific and community cooperation between Northern Technical University and Soran District institutions, particularly in the fields of technical education, supporting scientific research, and developing youth capacities.
The University President emphasized the university’s commitment to openness to various state and community institutions. She noted that Northern Technical University seeks to cooperate with all districts and sub-districts, particularly in the Kurdistan Region, to serve the goals of comprehensive development and enhance opportunities for quality education. For his part, the Soran District Mayor welcomed the visit, appreciating the efforts of Northern Technical University and its pioneering role in developing technical and scientific skills. He also affirmed the district’s readiness to provide the necessary support in all that serves the academic and scientific raising in Iraq.
