The Northern Technical University participates in a workshop titled “Information Technology: Train the Trainers” as part of the TAWASOL project activities.

In line with the vision and mission of the Northern Technical University to enhance cooperation with the private sector and provide employment opportunities for graduates, and under the guidance of the esteemed University President, Professor Dr. Aliya Abbas Ali Al-Attar, and the supervision of the Vice President for Scientific Affairs, Professor Dr. Omar Rafee Mahmoud, the university participated with a number of specialists in artificial intelligence technologies, information technology, and its applications. They attended a workshop on adopting a special training curriculum for information technology and training trainers, as part of the TAWASOL project, organized by the University Service Organization in Canada, funded by the Canadian government, and supervised by the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research.

The workshop highlighted several key topics related to the strategy of using technological advancements and their importance in:

– Enhancing the efficiency of graduates and developing their skills and qualifications in the field of information technology and its applications.
– Discussing the challenges and opportunities available to technical universities, given their important role in developing educational programs and services for students and graduates.
– Adopting an updated curriculum for digital transformation courses for graduates to integrate them into the labor market.

These workshops represent a valuable opportunity to strengthen communication and sustainable cooperation with universities and the private sector across various disciplines. They aim to enhance economic empowerment by providing job opportunities for graduates that align with their aspirations and academic and technical specializations, thus helping to reduce unemployment in society.
