The Northern Technical University organized an anti-drug awareness campaign at Al-Andalus and Abdul Rahman Al-Ghafiqi Preparatory Schools.

In accordance with the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research’s anti-drug guidelines and under the auspices of Professor Dr. Alia Abbas Ali Al-Attar, the Anti-Drug Committee launched a community awareness campaign that included Al-Andalus Girls Preparatory School and Abdul Rahman Al-Ghafiqi Preparatory School. Over two consecutive days, lecturer Wael, a member of the Anti-Drug Committee, spoke to senior students about the importance of being cautious when using psychotropic substances. He warned young people not to trust strangers and not to take medications without a prescription, emphasizing the dangers of misbehavior to their futures. He also provided students with a series of tips and guidelines on time management, sleeping, and waking up early, which helps students focus, stimulate their brains, and maintain good physical and mental health, contributing to raising their academic level.
It is worth noting that the Anti-Drug Committee conducted the lectures in cooperation with the Community Guidance Committee, coordinating visits and obtaining appropriate approvals. It is hoped that their work will continue throughout the current academic year.
