Based on the directives of His Excellency the Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research to support local journals and follow up on them periodically for the purpose of their entry into international databases, the President of the University, Professor Dr. Alia Abbas Ali Al-Attar, held a periodic meeting with the presidents and directors of the university’s scientific journals, where the meeting covered several topics:
1. Review Mechanism and requirements for entering magazines into the Scopus database
2. Reviewing the position of the university’s scientific journals by displaying the number of published research and journal indexing points
3. Reviewing the percentage of magazine editors-in-chief completing the stages of entering the Scopus database
4. Strengthening the editorial board of journals with new members to support the work.
At the end of the meeting, the university president directed the need to intensify efforts to support the university’s journals to advance the scientific reality and join the ranks of international universities.
